Either I'm just spoiled from all the guild help I've been getting or the Scarlet Monestary is cursed. Either way, I've tried twice now to do PickUp Groups of SM, and both times I've gotten less than pleasant results.
With all of that said, does anyone have alts of about the level appropriate to run SM so we can get a good guild group going through it? Or any 60's that feel like dragging me through to shut me up? ;D Either way. I know David (Zymotix) and Lissa (Starlily) are getting close to SM level, but I'm not sure how much is there that would benefit them.
My gear sucks +stat wise, as most of you were happy to point out yesterday on the Guild line. And from what I'm seeing, the SM gear is going to be my best bet for an upgrade, but none of the PUGs want to do the Armory, only the Library and the Cath. Armory is where I need to go to get the gear appropriate to my level, especially shoulders (+15 STA!).
I realize I'll be getting plate in 3 levels.. but those three levels will go a lot quicker with the right gear.
Most of the gear I've got right now has a higher armor value than the gear in SM (especially my legs, with 391 armor) but the stats in SM gear are much higher (my legs just give +4 def, for example) so I'm hoping to strike a balance by picking and choosing which parts to wear. For the next few levels anyway.
Anyway, enough out of me. Let me know if anyone wants to do an SM run some time this week or next.

Wow. The best part of that excuse is that I have no way of verifing it or denying it. I'm just supposed to take his word that a Typhoon came through Taiwan last night.
That's just cold.
I finally wound up getting the gear I wanted from SM, allowing me to (with Phil's help) own Arathi and finally ding 40.
My horsie's name is Skippy, and she likes apples.
I'm working now on getting some decent plate armor. Anyway, I finally had a decent SM run thanks to a crew of FE members that helped me out. Now I'm on to harder stuff.
Who's up for Uldaman?!
