this is the standard "you can have any 5 albums to listen to for the rest of eternity b/c you stuck on an island" wtfe right but I'd like to introduce a twist that makes it hard and interesting and something that I've found I have a hard time making a decision with
no compilations
no greatest hits
and no live albums
sorta limits the focus but makes you ask yourself what truly are the 5 best studio albums that I could listen to endlessly
so here are my 5 in no order and obviously subject to change:
EDIT: good point Nim
Pain of Salvation: Entropia (1997)~ Progressive Metal, Sweden
Blue Oyster Cult: Tyranny and Mutation (1973) ~ Rock (Classic), America
Ayreon: The Human Equation (2004) ~ Rock Opera Metal (Lucassen), Netherlands (I don't remember)
Savatage: The Wake of Magellan (1998)~ Rock Opera Metal, America
The Ark: Burn the Sun (2001) ~ Progressive, Danish/American
Honorable Mentions
Black Sabbath: Master of Reality, Heaven and Hell
3: Wake Pig
Pain of Salvation: The Perfect Element I
Dream Theater: Metropolis part II: Scenes from a Memory
King Crimson: One More Red Nightmare
Yeah I really don't remember what metal type the stuff by arjen and oliva is there's too many different types
Also, anyone interested in the PoS or the Ark, let me know - I'd love to share their music and it can be hard to find (especially the ark since they went into dispute with their ISP they've damn near vanished )
