Certain things are required for all high end and end game content.
This post is to get everyone equipped with these add-ons, so that you arent excluded once you get into your 50's.
There are three categories to be discussed.
Voice Communication
Many times, in instances, the action can get heated to a point where people are not paying attention to their chat channels and really do not have the time to type anyways. This is why voice communication is required.
Obviously, this cant be accomplished over the phone, so you have to have a specific program. Each guild or meta-guild raid group uses one of three communication softwares:
Teamspeak
Ventrilo
Gamecomm
Teamspeak
Fraternitas Exemplar uses Teamspeak.
The homepage for Teamspeak: www.goteamspeak.com/
To download the client version of Teamspeak: www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads
Silbob also posted a link on how to set up Teamspeak here on the FE site.
Our client information is easily found in the members' section.
Don't forget to set up your keybinding!!
Once you have Teamspeak working, the other programs will work fine.
Ventrilo
Many other guilds use Ventrilo.
The homepage for Ventrilo: www.ventrilo.com/
To download the client version of Ventrilo: www.ventrilo.com/download.php
If you run with a guild that asks you to join their server, the server and password information will need to be provided by guild you are raiding with.
Gamecomm
I dont know many guilds that use Gamecomm but there are a few.
The homepage for Gamecomm: www.gamecomm.com/
To download the client version of Gamecomm: www.gamecomm.com/download/client.aspx
Custom World of Warcraft User Interfaces
Many of us use full UI's that alter everything that helps play the game; extra buttons, map additions, screen alterations, and more.
Obviously these are exactly needed but they do make the game easier to deal with. There are a few add-ons that are required.
CT_raidassist
Decursive
Whispercast
Raidassist
CT_raidassist helps keep track of people's health and gives you alerts on the annoying special abilities of the main bosses.
The homepage for CT_raidassist: www.ctmod.net/raidassist.ct
To download CT_MasterMod and CT_RaidAssist: www.ctmod.net/downloads.ct
(as a hint, CT_MailMod is pretty awesome too)
Don't forget to checkout all the options and get to know the UI. It's pretty intense.
Decursive
Many classes require Decursive, but not necessarily all. Paladins, Priests, Druids, Mages . . . I'm not sure who else.
Decursive helps classes that can remove debuffs do it quickly and efficiently.
To download Decursive: ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=997
Whispercast
Whispercast is also used by all of the buffing classes. Raid buffs aren't affected but normal buffs are. Paladins, Mages, Priests, Druids can all use Whispercast.
To download Whispercast: ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=1823
Whispercast allows the buff class to cast whatever buff the recepient wants without having to target or ask. It really is a lazy way of buffing, but it's very effective.
World of War UI site
If you are interested in any other UI's, half of the Nashville guys use a altered version of Insomniax. Many others in the gulid use Cosmos or Emerald. I generally look thru World of War for any other useful UI's i can toss into my compilation easily.

Guild Management Sites
These are not exactly required by they are pretty cool. There are three main sites that i know of, but only two that we use. Allakhazam and RPGOutfitter are both sites that many of us have tested and work really well.
Allakhazam: wow.allakhazam.com/
Fraternitas Exemplar on Allakhazam: wow.allakhazam.com/db/guildroster.html?guild=Fraternitas%20Exemplar;server=Deathwing
To download the WoWReader for Allakhazam: wow.allakhazam.com/Wowreader.html
RPGOutfitter: www.rpgoutfitter.com/
Fraternitas Exemplar on RPGO: www.rpgoutfitter.com/WoW-GM/guild.cfm?guild=Fraternitas%20Exemplar@US-Deathwing
To download the profiler for RPGO: www.rpgoutfitter.com/CharacterProfiler/
To upload your profile to RPGO: www.rpgoutfitter.com/WoW-GM/upload.cfm
Allakhazam is easy, the WoWReader is an executable. When you are done playing, simply open the reader program and click on Refresh and then Upload.
RPGOutfitter is also easy but takes a few more steps. The profiler that you download is a folder that goes in you WorldofWarcraft/Interface/ folder. When you are in game, simply open your mail, bank, bags, spellbook and your professions. Anytime during play is fine. Then open your Character Sheet and click on SAVE in the top left corner. When next you go to RPGO website, go to the upload page, put the pathnames in where requested (after your first time, it will give you a "last used" so you can easily C/P) and then click on Upload.
Also, remember, you must set up user accounts on these sites before being able to download and upload.
Allakhazam is easy and that is where many ppl go to view quests and items online, but RPGO is favored for the robustness of its information. It shows practically everything. Which, honestly, is a lot of its appeal. Please check them out. if you have any questions you can ask myself, bryan or corey. we're all very familiar with both and continually update both sites.
